2017 Summer Reading Programs

Keep your kids reading this summer by participating in a Summer Reading Program.  Some start with a kick-off event and all of them offer a prize when you complete the requirement.  Here's a list of local programs. 


Redondo Beach Library 

Summer Reading program kick-off party is on June 17th.  Kick-off party for teen readers is on June 7th.  See the events calendar for more events and details throughout the summer months.


Hermosa Beach Library and Manhattan Beach Library

Register ad create an account to participate and earn rewards.

Palos Verdes Library

You can register online or at the library.  Program starts June 5th. PVLD has a list of fun special events for the summer.


Torrance Library

Summer Reading program begins June 26th and the kick-off party is also on this day.  See the calendar for related events and details.


Barnes and Noble

Download a free reading journal and complete it.  You will receive a free book as a prize.


El Segundo Library

Please visit or call the Youth Services Desk at 310-524-2726 for more details.

Chuck E. Cheese

Kids can earn 10 free tokens for reading every day for 2 weeks.  Parents can download and print out a rewards calendar.
